History of the Aston Martin V8 Vantage

Back to Blogs

Here at Classic Wedding Cars we have recently been lucky enough to acquire one of the most stunning British cars of all time. The Aston Martin V8 Vantage is a car which is truly timeless and a favourite for lovers of spy thrillers such as the James Bond films. In this blog we are going to take a brief look into the history of the Aston Martin V8.

Early Versions

The story for this car started in 1969 when it’s predecessor, the Aston Martin V8 Vantage, was first manufactured in the UK. The DBS V8 was it’s flagship model until 1972 and various other models followed until 1989. As with all traditional Aston Martins, this car was completely built by hand. Following the release of the V8 Aston Martins soon gained a reputation for their incredible speed and engines to match; this would pave the way for the V8 Vantage to pick up where it left off in the modern age.

Ever since it was first introduced back in 2005, the Aston Martin V8 Vantage has caused excitement among car lovers. That year Top Gear’s Jeremy Clarkson declared the V8 Vantage as the best sounding car of the year and also the coolest car of the year. The speedy vehicle was also voted one of Automobile Magazine's 2007 "All Stars" for it’s overall performance, road manners, and design.

Wedding Car

After the V8 Vantage ceased production in 2017, this car has now become a classic car in it’s own right and can be hired for your special day. Whether you want to arrive to your wedding venue like 007 or simply enjoy listening to the engine’s roar, you will love this car. For anyone who wants something different from the traditional forms of wedding transport , the V8 Vantage is a great option.
